Celia Forrest is a South Sound based teaching artist, actor, director, writer and mom. First introduced to acting Shakespeare by actors from The Guthrie, she spent her college years joyfully exploring the cannon. Afterwards, Celia became a resident artist for Stages Theatre Company and discovered her deep love of teaching. In 2010, she moved to Chicago to study improv, comedy writing and directing at Second City and iO Theater.
Celia moved to the South Sound with her family in 2016. Favorite Shakespearean roles include Maria in Twelfth Night, The Nurse/Friar in Romeo & Juliet and the Duchess of York in Richard III. Teaching passions include radically inclusive Shakespeare, Shakespeare and trauma, community-building and working with middle school and high school populations.
